Geraldine Taylor is a Consultant Clinical Psychotherapist and Trainer and is proprietor of the British Abuse & Trauma Consultancy. She holds a Masters degree, is a qualified Social Worker, a Cognitive Psychotherapist, a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming, an Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Meridian therapist and International Trainer. She has over 30 years experience in Social Work, Management, Therapy, Training and Consultancy.
Geraldine is registered by the Law Society as an Expert Witness in the areas of Sexual Abuse, Child Protection and Trauma. She is also registered by B.U.P.A. for her work in abuse. Her work also incorporates personal injury and compensation in all areas of abuse and trauma in the legal arena. Geraldine is also on the experts database for the National Crime and Operations Faculty offering expert assistance to the police and Ministry Of defence.
She works by a strict code of ethics and confidentiality as a member of The National Council of Psychotherapists and Advance Hypnotherapy Register and is a member of the Association of Neuro Linguistic Programming, The Society of Expert Witnesses and Academy of Expert Witnesses, The International & British Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and neglect. Also the International Society of Trauma and Dissocation and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Her general therapeutic work has led to newspaper articles and radio broadcasting on a local basis. However, in her specialist areas of Abuse, Trauma and Phobias, her therapy and training has gained National and International recognition in Portugal, U.S.A., Ireland, Malaysia, South Africa and Australia.
Geraldine is also a Director with Future In Mind Ltd, offering residential provision and a full therapeutic treatment programme for young people with emotional and behavioral problems.
